The acquisition expands Green Boy’s value-added liquid sweetener ingredient offering and strengthens its footprint in the North American natural and organic food market.

Sweet Harvest Foods Acquires Nature Nate's Honey Co.

Sweet Harvest Foods, a natural sweeteners platform in the Blue Road Capital portfolio, has purchased Nature Nate's Honey Co. from founder Nathan Sheets and will merge the brand into the Sweet Harvest platform. The deal brings the leading U.S. branded honey business together with Sweet Harvest to accelerate growth of the honey and natural sweetener market and expand retail availability.

Nature's Touch Acquires Sunrise Growers (SunOpta) Frozen Fruit Operations

Nature's Touch has acquired certain assets of Sunrise Growers, the frozen fruit operations of SunOpta Inc., in a transaction valued at an aggregate purchase price of approximately $141 million. The deal transfers facilities in Edwardsville, Kansas and Jacona, Mexico to Nature's Touch, expanding its production capacity, product diversity and North American geographic reach.

CapVest Acquires Second Nature Brands from Palladium Equity Partners

Funds managed by CapVest Partners LLP have closed the acquisition of Second Nature Brands, a Michigan-based creator of premium snacks and treats (Kar's Nuts, Second Nature Snacks, and Sanders Chocolates), from affiliates of Palladium Equity Partners. CapVest said it will support the company's next phase of growth through product innovation, category leadership and scaling the platform organically and via strategic acquisitions; terms were not disclosed.

Blue Road Capital Acquires B&W Quality Growers from Boyne Capital

New York-based Blue Road Capital has acquired B&W Quality Growers, a vertically-integrated producer of baby and specialty leafy greens headquartered in Fellsmere, Florida, from Boyne Capital. Blue Road intends to use B&W as a platform to scale its specialty leafy greens business and pursue add-on opportunities across retail, foodservice, wholesale, and specialty channels.

BrightView Acquires NatureScape
