Groundworks Acquires Select Basement Waterproofing to Enter New Jersey Market

Groundworks, the national foundation and water management solutions platform, has acquired Select Basement Waterproofing and will rebrand the business as Groundworks to expand into New Jersey. The acquisition brings Groundworks immediate coverage across multiple New Jersey counties and adds residential services including basement waterproofing, foundation repair, crawl space encapsulation and mold remediation to its network.

Virginia Beach-based Groundworks, a Cortec Group-backed national foundation services platform, acquired Baker's Waterproofing of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on May 14, 2021. The add-on expands Groundworks' footprint into Pennsylvania and West Virginia and brings Baker's team of over 85 employees and its residential basement waterproofing, foundation repair and concrete lifting capabilities onto the Groundworks platform.
