Ellucian Acquires Tribal Group plc

Ellucian has agreed to acquire UK-based Tribal Group plc in an all-cash transaction valuing Tribal's issued and to-be-issued ordinary share capital at approximately £159 million (enterprise value ~£172 million). The deal, unanimously recommended by Tribal’s board, will expand Ellucian’s global reach and product capabilities for tertiary education ERP/CRM and accelerate SaaS adoption for education customers worldwide; it is pending regulatory and shareholder approvals.

Vista Equity Partners Acquires Black Mountain Systems

Vista Equity Partners has agreed to acquire Black Mountain Systems, a San Diego–based provider of workflow and portfolio management software for credit investors and alternative asset managers. The transaction will see Stone Point Capital exit its investment and provides Black Mountain with capital and resources to accelerate product development, international expansion and growth under Vista's ownership.
