Exceleration Music Acquires Dangerbird Records Catalog

Exceleration Music has acquired the catalog and catalog operations of Los Angeles-based indie label Dangerbird Records, covering roughly 120 albums and more than 30 artists; financial terms were not disclosed. Exceleration will handle promotion and distribution through Redeye Worldwide, and Dangerbird president Jenni Sperandeo will step down after a transition.

Exceleration Music has acquired Redeye, the US-based digital and physical distribution and music services company, in a deal that also includes Redeye’s in-house labels Yep Roc and Sundazed and publishing company Riff City Sounds. Redeye founders Glenn Dicker and Tor Hansen remain shareholders and will continue to lead the business, while Exceleration provides additional resources to expand distribution, label and publishing services globally.

Velocity Acquires Impax Media, Inc.

The acquisition expands Velocity’s media solutions portfolio into the grocery/retail media market and positions it to sell Impax’s ad inventory through a partnership with Screenvision Media.
