ASSA ABLOY Acquires Caldwell

ASSA ABLOY has acquired Caldwell, a manufacturer of fenestration hardware for window manufacturers. Caldwell, founded in 1888 with about 800 employees and 2021 sales of roughly MSEK 1,000, will be integrated to expand ASSA ABLOY's product offering and strengthen its position with fenestration manufacturers in the Pacific & North East Asia division.

ASSA ABLOY Acquires IXLA (Italy)

ASSA ABLOY has acquired IXLA, an Italian manufacturer of advanced laser and colour personalization systems for cards and passports. IXLA (founded 2003, ~50 employees, 2023 sales ~MEUR 13) will become part of HID's Secure Issuance Business Area, strengthening ASSA ABLOY's capabilities in government and financial institution secure issuance solutions.

ASSA ABLOY to Acquire SKIDATA

ASSA ABLOY has signed an agreement to acquire SKIDATA, a leading provider of access management solutions headquartered in Salzburg, Austria, from the Kudelski Group. The acquisition, expected to close in Q3 2024 subject to regulatory approval, will integrate SKIDATA into ASSA ABLOY's Entrance Systems Division to expand complementary products and capabilities in access solutions.

ASSA ABLOY (HID) Acquires Janam Technologies

ASSA ABLOY, through its HID Global business, acquired Janam Technologies, a US-based maker of rugged handheld mobile computers and readers, to expand its event access and reader product portfolio. The acquisition brings Janam’s barcode, RFID and NFC-enabled readers into HID’s Events & Mobility Solutions unit, enhancing HID/ASSA ABLOY’s capabilities for venue access, ticketing and enterprise mobile computing.

ASSA ABLOY Acquires TeleAlarm Group (Germany)

ASSA ABLOY has acquired TeleAlarm Group, a Leipzig-based provider of remote care hardware and software for the senior care and home care market. TeleAlarm—founded in 1956 with roughly 70 employees and sales of about EUR 29m in 2024—will join ASSA ABLOY's Global Solutions Senior Care business; the seller was Primepulse SE and the acquisition is expected to be accretive to EPS from day one.

ASSA ABLOY Acquires Uhlmann & Zacher GmbH

ASSA ABLOY has acquired Uhlmann & Zacher GmbH, a German maker of access control handles, knobs and related software. Uhlmann & Zacher, founded in 1990 and headquartered in Waldbüttelbrunn, Bavaria, has about 110 employees and reported roughly €21 million in sales for 2024; ASSA ABLOY says the deal adds complementary products and is accretive to earnings from day one.
