Accenture has acquired Comtech Group, a Toronto-based consulting and program management firm that supports large infrastructure and capital projects across Canada and the United States. The acquisition (terms undisclosed) expands Accenture’s capital projects and Industry X capabilities in Canada, adding approximately 300 Comtech employees and expertise in construction management, facility and manufacturing engineering, and process control automation.

Comcast Acquires BluVector

Comcast Corporation acquired BluVector, an AI- and machine-learning driven cybersecurity company, to expand its cybersecurity capabilities and integrate BluVector's threat-detection technology into Comcast's product and service offerings. Financial terms were not disclosed; BluVector's leadership will continue under a new CEO and will collaborate with Comcast on product development and growth.

Cytracom Acquires OmniNet

Microsoft Acquires Metaswitch Networks

Microsoft signed a definitive agreement to acquire Metaswitch Networks, a provider of cloud-native communications and virtualized network software, expanding Azure's capabilities for telecom operators and 5G deployments. The deal, which follows Microsoft's acquisition of Affirmed Networks, was completed from seller Francisco Partners (which had owned Metaswitch alongside other shareholders) and will be used to integrate Metaswitch's talent and technology into Azure to serve operators globally.

Momentum Telecom Acquires CloudNet Group

Terms were not disclosed; Bradley Arant Boult Cummings served as legal counsel to Momentum and LoHi Merchant Bank was CloudNet Group’s exclusive investment banker.
