EMERGE Commerce Ltd. acquired all issued and outstanding shares of Retail Store Networks, Inc. (dba WholesalePet.com), a profitable U.S.-based B2B e-commerce marketplace serving independent pet retailers. The transaction, announced November 16, 2021, was for up to US$25 million (combination of cash, shares, deferred consideration and earn-out) and expands EMERGE’s portfolio into the B2B pet vertical while adding a recurring, asset-light marketplace expected to be immediately accretive to EBITDA.

Platinum Equity Acquires Petmate

Platinum Equity has acquired Petmate, a longtime Arlington, Texas-based manufacturer and marketer of pet products, from Olympus Partners. Platinum Equity plans to support Petmate's organic growth and pursue additional M&A to broaden the company's product portfolio and accelerate expansion in e-commerce and retail channels; financial terms were not disclosed.

NexTech AR Solutions Acquires Jolokia

NexTech AR Solutions signed a binding LOI to acquire Jolokia, a remote video training, live-streaming and virtual events SaaS platform (the Inferno platform). The all-stock deal includes an initial 1 million restricted shares and an earn‑out of up to 4 million additional restricted shares tied to revenue milestones; Jolokia generated approximately $1.0M in SaaS revenue in 2019 and serves enterprise customers including Merck, Toyota, CBS and Polycom.

Exos Acquires Infinite Athlete and Biocore

Exos has acquired sports technology company Infinite Athlete and its subsidiary Biocore, bringing the businesses under the Exos brand to expand the company's tech-enabled human performance capabilities. The deal is backed by private equity investors BDT & MSD Partners and Madrone Capital Partners and combines Exos' coaching and workplace performance platform with Infinite Athlete's AI-driven data science and Biocore's biomechanical engineering and testing.

Agility Retail Group Acquires Infinity Retail Services

Infinity's founders Kevin and Wendy Jansen retain significant equity and the existing management team will continue to run the business; terms were not disclosed.
