Intermediate Capital Group's North American Direct Private Equity team has acquired Seaway Plastics Engineering, a Florida-based manufacturer of injection-molded engineered components serving medical device, healthcare, aerospace & defense, and precision industrial end markets. ICG plans to support Seaway's organic growth and pursue add-on acquisitions to expand product capabilities and geographic footprint; financial terms were not disclosed.

The deal, finalized September 30, 2022, expands Seaway's geographic footprint and capabilities and advances its growth strategy under its sponsor, ICG's North American Direct Private Equity team.

Engineered Plastics Components Acquires Western Plastics (Kirby Co. Plant)

Engineered Plastics Components, Inc. (EPC) of West Des Moines acquired the Portland, Tennessee injection-molding plant formerly operating as Western Plastics, a dedicated supplier to Kirby Co. The purchase included the plant's real estate and equipment and a long-term supply contract with Kirby; EPC plans to double the Tennessee facility (adding 60,000 sq ft) and install larger molding machines to expand capacity and serve additional OEM and Tier-1 customers.

Minnesota Rubber and Plastics (MRP) Acquires Pawling Engineered Products

Visioneering, Inc., a portfolio company of family office 3P Equity Partners, has acquired the assets of Plasco Tooling and Engineering Corporation. The deal adds Plasco’s composite tooling, fixtures and patented stretch form die technology and 42,000 ft2 manufacturing capability in Romeo, Michigan to Visioneering’s aerospace tooling platform to expand capabilities in the aerospace and defense market.

The transaction closed on August 29, 2025 and expands Innova’s cast urethane and West Coast manufacturing capabilities; Generational Group advised PolyCraft Tech on the sale.
