Minnesota Rubber and Plastics Acquires Primasil Silicones Ltd.

Quadion LLC, d.b.a. Minnesota Rubber and Plastics (MRP), has acquired Primasil Silicones Ltd., a Weobley, U.K.-based custom silicone rubber compounder and manufacturer. The deal expands MRP's silicone formulation, compounding and precision molding capabilities and strengthens its manufacturing footprint in the U.K. and Czech Republic to better serve medical, HVAC and specialty industrial end markets.

Trelleborg Group Acquires Minnesota Rubber and Plastics from KKR

Trelleborg Group has completed the acquisition of Minnesota Rubber and Plastics (MRP) from KKR. The deal transfers a global materials-science and precision polymer components business (more than 1,450 employees across six countries) to Trelleborg, which will integrate MRP's elastomer and thermoplastic capabilities into its sealing and polymer solutions portfolio.

The deal, finalized September 30, 2022, expands Seaway's geographic footprint and capabilities and advances its growth strategy under its sponsor, ICG's North American Direct Private Equity team.

River Associates Acquires The Rubber Group (Humphrey's Industrial Products)

River Associates Investments, LP acquired Humphrey's Industrial Products, Inc. (d/b/a The Rubber Group) in a transaction that closed on July 15, 2022. The Rochester, New Hampshire-based manufacturer of custom compression and injection-molded rubber products will be backed by River to pursue growth and add-on acquisitions; financing was provided by Bell Capital Finance (a division of Bell Bank).

Trelleborg Group Acquires Aero-Plastics Inc.

Trelleborg Group, through its Trelleborg Sealing Solutions business area, has signed an agreement to acquire Aero-Plastics Inc., a Renton, Washington-based manufacturer of precision injection-molded and thermoformed high-performance polymer components for the aerospace interiors market. The acquisition — expected to close in Q2 2025 — expands Trelleborg's thermoplastics and interiors capabilities, adds capacity and customer relationships, and is intended to generate sales synergies within its aerospace offering.
