Minnesota Rubber and Plastics (MRP) Acquires Pawling Engineered Products

Minnesota Rubber and Plastics (d.b.a. Quadion LLC) has acquired Pawling Engineered Products, a Pawling, New York-based manufacturer of custom elastomeric inflatable seals, gaskets and related products. The deal combines complementary materials science and custom elastomer capabilities to broaden MRP's product offering and support its medical, water and industrial end-market customers.

Trelleborg Group Acquires Minnesota Rubber and Plastics from KKR

Trelleborg Group has completed the acquisition of Minnesota Rubber and Plastics (MRP) from KKR. The deal transfers a global materials-science and precision polymer components business (more than 1,450 employees across six countries) to Trelleborg, which will integrate MRP's elastomer and thermoplastic capabilities into its sealing and polymer solutions portfolio.

GracoRoberts Acquires UK-based Silmid Limited

GracoRoberts, a PE-backed specialty chemicals distributor, has agreed to acquire UK-based Silmid Limited to expand its global aerospace distribution footprint into the UK and Europe. The deal adds Silmid's ecommerce platform, a 24,000 sq. ft. UK warehouse and complementary aerospace specialty chemicals capabilities; CM Equity Partners supported the transaction as GracoRoberts' private equity sponsor.

Sequel Holdings Acquires Majority Interest in Uniphase, LLC

Sequel Holdings acquired a majority interest in Uniphase, LLC in March 2024, adding the St. Charles, Illinois-based engineering and custom injection molding company to its portfolio. Founder Bill Morici retains a significant minority stake and remains CEO; Uniphase specializes in tool design and building and plastic injection molding using liquid silicone rubber (LSR) and engineered thermoplastics.

Vance Street Capital Acquires Molded Rubber and Plastic Corporation (MRPC)

Los Angeles-based private equity firm Vance Street Capital has partnered with Molded Rubber and Plastic Corporation (MRPC), a family-owned, ISO 13485-certified medical device contract manufacturer headquartered in Butler, Wisconsin. Vance Street will support MRPC's capability and capacity expansion while existing CEO and shareholder Greg Riemer will remain in place; financial and legal advisors and lenders were disclosed but transaction terms were not.
