Cortec Group (via Cortec Fund VII) completed a growth recapitalization of Goettl Home Services on December 10, 2021, partnering with CEO Ken Goodrich and his management team. The deal, in which Baum Capital Partners sold Goettl, will provide capital and support for Goettl’s organic growth and a pipeline of regional HVAC and plumbing add-on acquisitions across the Southwestern United States.

The acquisition expands Southern's Mid‑Atlantic footprint, adds electrical and Generac generator installation capabilities to its service offering, and brings AirPlus' local team and customer base into Southern's platform.
