Hachette Book Group Acquires Workman Publishing

Hachette Book Group has entered into a binding agreement to acquire Workman Publishing, bringing Workman's imprints and backlist into HBG as its eighth publishing group. Workman will be led by CEO Dan Reynolds reporting to HBG CEO Michael Pietsch, and Executive Chair Carolan Workman will retire at close; the deal is subject to regulatory approval.
