Wabtec Corporation Acquires Nordco from Greenbriar Equity Group

Wabtec Corporation has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Nordco, a North American supplier of maintenance-of-way equipment, from Greenbriar Equity Group for $400 million in cash. The acquisition expands Wabtec’s maintenance-of-way and railcar mover offerings, adds Nordco’s aftermarket and inspection technology capabilities, and is expected to be immediately accretive to EBITDA and cash flow while delivering cost synergies.

Wabtec Acquires Bloom Engineering for $69M

The purchase expands Wabtec’s heat transfer and energy solutions capabilities and is expected to be immediately accretive to EPS, with synergies to be realized over the next three years.

Wabtec Acquires Dellner Couplers from EQT

Wabtec Corporation has completed the acquisition of Sweden-based Dellner Couplers, a global leader in train connection systems, from the EQT VIII fund. The transaction values Dellner at approximately EUR 890 million and strengthens Wabtec's passenger rail / transit portfolio by adding couplers, gangways and aftermarket services with a global installed base and ~1,200 employees.

Wabtec Acquires ARINC Rail Solutions Business from Collins Aerospace

Wabtec Corporation has acquired Collins Aerospace’s ARINC rail solutions business segment to expand its digital and electronics portfolio for rail optimization; financial terms were not disclosed. The ARINC rail solutions business provides dispatch, back-office, PTC integration, customer information, cybersecurity and life-cycle management services for transit, regional, inter-city, commuter, subway and light rail systems across the U.S. and Canada.

Wabtec Acquires Evident's Inspection Technologies Division

Wabtec Corporation completed the acquisition of Evident's Inspection Technologies division (formerly part of Olympus' Scientific Solutions) for $1.78 billion, expanding Wabtec's Digital Intelligence business. The deal strengthens Wabtec's inspection and diagnostic capabilities (non-destructive testing, remote visual inspection, analytical instruments), broadens its end-markets (rail, mining, industrial) and is expected to be accretive to margins and EPS over time.

Cameco and Brookfield Acquire Westinghouse Electric Company

Cameco and Brookfield (with Brookfield Renewable Partners and institutional partners) have completed their joint acquisition of Westinghouse Electric Company after receiving required regulatory approvals, with the transaction closing on or about November 7, 2023. Cameco will finance its share using a US$600 million term loan and available cash; the deal transfers ownership of Westinghouse (a leading nuclear technology and services provider headquartered in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania) from Brookfield Business Partners to the new investor group.
