Eastern Communications Acquires RACOM Corporation

Eastern Communications Ltd., a New York–headquartered mission-critical communications provider, has acquired Marshalltown, Iowa–based RACOM Corporation, a provider of emergency communications services and technology. The combination creates a nationwide mission-critical communications platform with expanded service locations and capability to serve public safety, utilities and transportation customers coast to coast.

Pfingsten-backed NEC Acquires Eastern Communications, LLC

Pfingsten’s portfolio company NEC acquired Eastern Communications, LLC, a Bloomfield, Connecticut-based provider of maintenance, repair and upgrade services for telecommunications infrastructure. The deal—NEC’s third add-on since Pfingsten became majority shareholder in October 2021—closed October 31, 2022; Eastern CEO Steve Slade will retain ownership and join NEC’s executive team as the combined platform expands geographic coverage and service capabilities.

Dunes Point Capital Acquires Majority Interest in Eastern Communications

Dunes Point Capital, LP acquired a majority interest in Eastern Communications, Ltd., a national distributor and technical service provider of mission‑critical communication devices and network infrastructure for public safety agencies. The investment is led by Dunes Point Capital Fund III with co-investors including funds managed by Partners Capital and debt financing from Audax Private Debt, TPG Twin Brook and Manulife; Eastern is headquartered in Queens, New York and employs approximately 200 people.

Eastern DataComm Acquires OSI Technology (Warren, NJ)

The acquisition adds OSI’s decades of experience in video surveillance, VoIP, access control, and networking to Eastern DataComm’s portfolio of integrated safety and communication solutions.

The transaction expands MCA’s service footprint in the Mid-Atlantic and adds CEI’s mission-critical communications capabilities and customer relationships to MCA’s portfolio.
