Hemingway Capital Recapitalizes Chibuzo, LLC with Parkway, Spring Capital and IBC Funds

New York-based private equity firm Hemingway Capital led a recapitalization of Chibuzo, LLC, a Fort Smith, Arkansas manufacturer of wood pallets and crates, partnering with Werner and Theresa Hugo. The transaction was financed with subordinated debt and preferred equity provided by Spring Capital Partners, Parkway Capital (a Calvert Street affiliate) and IBC Funds to support the acquisition/recapitalization.

The financing (which included Spring Capital's $4.4M subordinated debt and $1.9M equity) supports a succession plan with second-generation owner Justo Cepero and funds future organic growth and bolt-on acquisitions; Cadence Bank provided senior financing.

Fair Market Value Capital and TDAM Acquire 28% Stake in PSA Italy from PSA International

Fair Market Value Capital Partners (FMV) and the TD Greystone Infrastructure Fund (advised by TD Asset Management) jointly acquired a 28% interest in PSA Italy from PSA International. PSA Italy operates three container terminals in Genoa and Venice (handling ~2 million TEUs) and the investment will support the company’s growth in the Italian market and expansion of its hinterland into Switzerland and southern Germany.

Farragut Capital Partners and Watervale Equity Partners Recapitalize EMX Industries
