Southern Towing Company (CC Industries) Acquires Devall Towing

Southern Towing Company, an affiliate of CC Industries, has acquired Devall Towing from the Devall family. Devall — a Sulphur, Louisiana–based towboat and barge operator focused on specialty chemicals with a fleet of 36 towboats and 125 liquid tank barges — will operate as a new division of Southern Towing, with existing management remaining in place.

CIC Partners Makes Growth Capital Investment in Tri-State Holdings LLC

Dallas-based private equity firm CIC Partners has made a growth capital investment in Tri-State Holdings LLC, a Joaquin, Texas-based provider of water transportation and disposal services to oil and gas producers in the Haynesville Shale. The capital will enable Tri-State to expand its disposal services and follow-on growth, and Tri-State concurrently acquired saltwater disposal assets from Key Energy Services as part of its service expansion.

Capital Waste Services Acquires Southern Central Waste Services and Priority Waste Services

Capital Waste Services, a portfolio company of Kinderhook Industries, acquired Southern Central Waste Services and Priority Waste Services, two Tennessee-based roll-off and transfer-station operators, expanding its footprint in Southeast Tennessee. The deals are the platform's eighth and ninth add-on acquisitions and will strengthen Capital Waste's vertically integrated network; debt financing was provided by a syndicate led by Comerica Bank with MUFG, Webster Bank, and Fifth Third.

FleetPride Acquires Southern Truck Center of Birmingham, Alabama

Truelink Capital Acquires SouthernCarlson from Kyocera Corporation

The transaction is supported by a senior secured credit facility co-led by Bain Capital Credit and Goldman Sachs Alternatives to finance Truelink's purchase; SouthernCarlson will operate as an independent, nationwide platform to pursue organic growth and strategic M&A.
