Teledyne Acquires Select Aerospace and Defense Electronics Businesses of Excelitas for $710M

Teledyne Technologies has agreed to acquire select aerospace and defense electronics businesses from Excelitas Technologies for approximately $710 million in cash, including the UK-based Optical Systems business (branded Qioptiq) and the U.S.-based Advanced Electronic Systems (AES) business. The businesses will be folded into Teledyne's Aerospace and Defense Electronics segment (operating under the name Teledyne Qioptiq for the optical business) to expand Teledyne's capabilities in optics, tactical night-vision, defense electronics and space applications.

Phoseon will continue to operate from its Hillsboro, Oregon headquarters and the deal expands Excelitas' product portfolio and R&D cooperation in UV LED solutions across industrial, medical device, electronics and life-sciences end markets.

indie Semiconductor Acquires EXALOS AG for $45 Million

The deal secures EXALOS' SLED and SOA technologies and a team of ~17 engineers to expand indie's laser and silicon photonics portfolio and accelerate its Autotech offerings to global tier‑1 suppliers and automotive OEMs.

Belden Inc. Acquires Precision Optical Technologies, Inc.

Ocutrx Technologies has acquired Spectrum Advanced Manufacturing Technologies, a Colorado Springs-based high-reliability electronics and assembly firm, to bring medical-device and hi-rel manufacturing capabilities in-house and repatriate supply chain operations to the U.S. Spectrum's founder Jeff Riggs will remain as a minority partner and CEO during integration, and Ocutrx plans to leverage Spectrum's process lines and ISO optics lab to scale AR/XR medical headsets and other devices in compliance with FDA and global standards.
