CPA Global Merges with ipan/Delegate Group

CPA Global and ipan/Delegate Group have completed a merger to create a combined IP management and technology organization offering an expanded product range of software, tech-enabled services and data & analytics. Existing majority investors — including Leonard Green Partners and Partners Group in CPA Global and funds managed by Castik Capital in ipan/Delegate — remain fully invested in the combined group to support geographic expansion and improved integration across the IP lifecycle.

Clarivate Acquires ProQuest

Clarivate plc announced a definitive agreement on May 17, 2021 and completed the acquisition of ProQuest on Dec. 1, 2021. Clarivate paid $5.3 billion including refinancing of ProQuest debt (approximately $4.0 billion cash and $1.3 billion equity) to acquire the global software, content, data and analytics provider from Cambridge Information Group and other investors including Atairos to expand its research intelligence capabilities.

The acquisition expands Clarivate's life sciences and healthcare capabilities by adding Global Q's Optiqs360 Digital platform and regulatory report authoring tools to Clarivate's data and workflow offerings; financial terms were not disclosed.

The deal integrates AccountantsWorld's suite into IRIS's accountancy portfolio to accelerate Client Accounting Services (CAS) offerings and broaden capabilities for North American accounting firms.
