Pipeline Packaging, an employee-owned US distributor of rigid industrial containers, has acquired MidStates Container Company, a full-line packaging distributor based in St. Louis, Missouri. The deal will consolidate supply lines and expand Pipeline's geographic footprint and service offerings across the U.S. Midwest.

ACR (AmerCareRoyal), a portfolio company of HCI Equity Partners, has acquired Mat-Pac, Inc., a supplier of paper, plastic, aluminum and sustainable packaging solutions for the North American foodservice and janitorial/sanitation markets. The add-on strengthens ACR's product portfolio, expands its reach across foodservice and JanSan end markets, and retains the Mat-Pac leadership (the Jimenez family) in an ongoing role.

Palladium Equity Partners Acquires Accupac, Inc.

Palladium Equity Partners has acquired Accupac, Inc., a U.S.-based contract manufacturer and packager of personal care and beauty products, from J.H. Whitney Capital Partners. Accupac operates FDA-registered, cGMP-compliant facilities in Mainland, Pennsylvania and Lakewood, New Jersey, employs roughly 600 people and generated over $200 million in revenue in 2019; Palladium says it will support growth through product innovation, new account penetration and M&A.

Primary Packaging Incorporated Acquires Packaging Horizons Corporation

Primary Packaging Incorporated (a Field Packaging Solutions company) has acquired Packaging Horizons Corporation, a longtime manufacturer of tamper-evident security bags and specialized security overwrap films. The deal expands Primary Packaging’s polyethylene extrusion and film converting capabilities, adding tamper-evident product lines used across pharmaceutical, medical and food packaging markets.

ProAmpac Acquires Specialty Packaging, Inc.

ProAmpac, a Cincinnati-based flexible packaging manufacturer owned by Pritzker Private Capital, has acquired Specialty Packaging, Inc., a family-owned paper, film and foil packaging manufacturer based in Fort Worth, Texas. The acquisition expands ProAmpac's paper bag converting capacity, broadens its recyclable foodservice packaging portfolio and extends its footprint into the southwestern United States.

Flexpak, LLC Acquires Preferred Packaging Products, Inc.

Flexpak, LLC, a Shorehill Capital-backed value-added packaging distributor based in Woods Cross, Utah, completed the acquisition of Thornton, Colorado-based Preferred Packaging Products, Inc. on February 1, 2023. The add-on expands Flexpak's geographic footprint into Colorado and adds specialized packaging capabilities serving end markets including electronics, instrumentation, consumer products and healthcare.
