Ruppert Landscape, a family- and employee-owned commercial landscaping platform backed by private equity firm Knox Lane, has acquired Lawnscapes, Inc., a Panama City, Florida-based commercial landscaping company founded by Joe Littleton. The acquisition expands Ruppert’s footprint into the Florida Panhandle and is intended to accelerate local growth while keeping Lawnscapes’ leadership involved.

Knox Lane, a San Francisco-based growth-oriented investment firm, has acquired a majority stake in Guardian Fire Protection Services, a Rockville, Maryland–based provider of fire and life safety services. Guardian's existing shareholders, including CEO Scott Agge and the leadership team, will reinvest and retain a significant minority; the partnership will fund growth initiatives including business development, digital marketing, operational improvements and geographic expansion (including add-on M&A).
