Beacon Roofing Supply (NASDAQ: BECN) signed a purchase agreement to acquire Smalley & Company, a Denver-based regional specialty waterproofing and sealants distributor with eleven locations across the Southwest. Smalley is privately held and owned by an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP); the sale requires approval from the ESOP participants prior to closing.
