National Manufacturing Group, a multi-plant OEM supplier, has acquired Fiber-Tech Inc, a custom molder of fiberglass composites. The deal expands National's FRP and fiberglass capabilities and adds Fiber-Tech's end-to-end composite molding, prototyping, tooling and production services to National's existing manufacturing footprint.

Avantus Aerospace Acquires Fastener Innovation Technology (FIT)

Avantus Aerospace, a PE-backed aerospace C-class parts group, acquired Fastener Innovation Technology Corporation (FIT) of Rancho Dominguez, California as an add-on to expand its specialty fastener capabilities. FIT (founded 1979) will continue to be led by its existing management and will be integrated with Avantus’s fastener businesses to better serve aerospace OEM and defense customers including Boeing, Raytheon and Lockheed Martin.

GE Industrial Systems Acquires International Fiber Systems

GE Industrial Systems has completed the acquisition of International Fiber Systems Inc. (IFS), a Newton, Connecticut-based maker of fiber optic transmission products for electronic security and intelligent transportation systems. IFS will become a subsidiary of GE Interlogix Inc., part of GE Industrial Systems; financial terms were not disclosed.
