Individual FoodService Acquires Central Sanitary Supply

Individual FoodService (IFS), a Bell, California-based distributor of foodservice disposables and janitorial supplies, has acquired Central Sanitary Supply, a Modesto, California-based janitorial and facility supplies distributor. The deal expands IFS’s sales presence and distribution capabilities across California and Nevada and broadens its JanSan product offering to Central’s customers. Terms were not disclosed.

Kelso & Company Acquires Individual FoodService

Kelso & Company has acquired a majority equity interest in Individual FoodService (IFS), a Bell, California-based distributor of foodservice disposables, packaging and janitorial/sanitation products, from prior investor Sole Source Capital. Kelso said it will partner with IFS management to accelerate the company's acquisition strategy, expand capabilities and invest in operations; Kenneth Sweder was appointed Chairman of the IFS board.

The acquisition expands Kleen-Tech’s operations into Eastern markets and adds local operational resources and client relationships in the Charleston area.

BradyIFS Acquires FPC Distribution

BradyIFS, a distributor of foodservice disposables and janitorial-sanitation products, has acquired FPC Distribution Inc., a family-run foodservice, dry goods and jan-san distributor serving Maryland and Virginia. Terms were not disclosed; the deal expands BradyIFS's east coast operations and will keep FPC's team in place under a partnership with founder Richard Roe.

The Innovative Foodservice Group (IFG) has acquired Foodservice & Restaurant Supply (FRS), a 50‑year regional distributor of commercial kitchen equipment and supplies with four showrooms across the Carolinas. The acquisition brings FRS’s local sales, showroom and distribution capabilities into IFG’s national foodservice distribution platform, and was led for the sellers by Viking Mergers & Acquisitions.

Individual FoodService, a portfolio company sponsored by Kelso & Company, has merged with Brady Industries, a Las Vegas-based janitorial and sanitation (JanSan) distributor. The deal creates a significantly larger distributor of foodservice disposables and JanSan products with expanded geographic reach, 38 combined facilities and enhanced cross-selling opportunities.
