Utimaco Acquires GEOBRIDGE

Utimaco completed the acquisition of GEOBRIDGE, effective March 31, 2020, after CFIUS approval on March 9. GEOBRIDGE employees and customers will be integrated into Utimaco’s Information Security division, expanding Utimaco’s key-management portfolio—notably adding the KeyBRIDGE platform to complement Utimaco’s Atalla HSM for the financial industry.

Under EQT's ownership Utimaco nearly tripled revenues and expanded via five add-ons; EQT will remain invested as a minority owner and the transaction is subject to regulatory approvals.

ERMCO, a Dyersburg, Tennessee-based manufacturer of distribution transformers, has acquired GridBridge Corporation, a Raleigh, North Carolina power-delivery systems company and developer of the Grid Energy Router. GridBridge will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of ERMCO to scale its energy-router product line and support utility and commercial customers in grid modernization; financial terms were not disclosed.

Bridgepoint Acquires Majority Stake in Kyriba

Bridgepoint, an international private equity firm, agreed to invest $160 million to acquire a majority stake in Kyriba, valuing the cloud treasury and finance software provider at $1.2 billion. The capital will fund product innovation, customer support and global expansion, while several existing investors (Upfront Ventures, Bpifrance, SumeruEquity Partners and HSBC) realize exits and some investors (Daher Capital, Iris Capital and CEO Jean‑Luc Robert) remain invested.
