COMSovereign Holding Corp. purchased the manufacturing assets, operations and customer contracts of Fast Plastic Parts and launched Sovereign Plastics, a wholly-owned U.S.-based plastics and metals components manufacturing operation in Colorado Springs. The acquisition provides COMSovereign with an onshore, just-in-time supply chain for components used in communications equipment and related electronic products, reducing lead times and reliance on overseas production.

(Nasdaq: COMS), a Dallas-based developer of 4G/5G communications systems, announced the acquisition of Innovation Digital, LLC, a developer of advanced mixed analog/digital signal processing solutions and IP. The deal totals $8.0 million in consideration (approximately $1.6M cash/convertible debt and $6.4M in restricted common stock), brings a portfolio of 21+ U.S. patents, is expected to contribute roughly $3M in licensing revenue this year, and names Dr. Scott Velasquez as COMSovereign's Chief Research Officer.

The deal adds Polyfoam's cold-chain and injection-molded plastic capabilities and enables cross-selling to national customers while Foam Fabricators also announced a partnership with Rational Packaging and commercialization of a biodegradable EPS product.

Swedish manufacturer KB Components AB acquired certain assets from Post Meridiem Plastics Ltd. (PM Plastics), a Windsor, Ontario-based producer of highly engineered plastic injection-molded components. The asset purchase expands KB’s manufacturing footprint and capabilities in North America; PM Plastics operates a 31,000 sq. ft. facility with 26 injection molding presses and offers services including two-shot molding, over-molding, insert molding and ultrasonic welding.

Alora Pharmaceuticals' wholly owned subsidiary, Sovereign Pharmaceuticals, acquired substantially all manufacturing capabilities of Monarch PCM, LLC in Fort Worth, Texas through bankruptcy proceedings, closing on January 4, 2022. The deal adds 60,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space and approximately 48 employees, expanding Sovereign's solid, semi-solid and liquid pharmaceutical manufacturing capacity.
