COMSovereign Acquires Fastback Networks

COMSovereign Holding Corp. agreed to acquire all equity interests of Skyline Technology Partners, LLC d/b/a Fastback Networks for approximately $14 million in cash and debentures (including convertible debentures). The acquisition adds Fastback's intelligent backhaul radios, operations, customers and a portfolio of patents (65 granted, 12 pending) to COMSovereign's 5G connectivity and wireless backhaul product and IP portfolio, broadening its capabilities for Tier-1 and private 5G deployments.

FAST is a New Jersey–based provider of SaaS policy administration, new business and distribution management software for life insurers; NexPhase partnered with FAST in 2015 and helped transition the business to a recurring revenue model.

NewNet to Acquire Nokia Siemens Networks' WiMAX Business

NewNet Communication Technologies, a Skyview Capital portfolio company, announced plans to acquire the WiMAX business from Nokia Siemens Networks, including the full product portfolio, related employees and assets, and active customer and supplier contracts. Approximately 300 Nokia Siemens Networks employees (many in suburban Chicago, USA and Hangzhou, China) are expected to transfer; the deal was expected to close before December 31, 2011 and terms were not disclosed.
