Comcast Business has completed its acquisition of Nitel, a Chicago-based managed network and security services provider, from private equity firm Cinven. The deal expands Comcast Business' connectivity, secure networking and managed services capabilities and strengthens its ability to serve enterprise clients across industries such as financial services, healthcare and education.

Nokia Acquires Infinera

Nokia completed the acquisition of Infinera, closing the transaction on 28 February 2025. The deal values Infinera at an enterprise value of approximately US$2.3 billion (US$6.65 per share) and is intended to create a scaled optical-networks business to accelerate product roadmaps, expand webscale presence and capture EUR 200 million of net operating synergies by 2027.

Nokia Acquires Elenion Technologies

Nokia announced it will acquire Elenion Technologies, a privately held U.S. silicon photonics company headquartered in New York, to integrate Elenion's silicon photonics platform and design services into Nokia's optical networking portfolio. The acquisition is intended to improve time-to-market and reduce cost per bit for 5G, cloud and enterprise networking solutions; the transaction was expected to close in Q1 2020, subject to regulatory approvals.
