Nokia Acquires Elenion Technologies

Nokia announced it will acquire Elenion Technologies, a privately held U.S. silicon photonics company headquartered in New York, to integrate Elenion's silicon photonics platform and design services into Nokia's optical networking portfolio. The acquisition is intended to improve time-to-market and reduce cost per bit for 5G, cloud and enterprise networking solutions; the transaction was expected to close in Q1 2020, subject to regulatory approvals.

NewNet to Acquire Nokia Siemens Networks' WiMAX Business

NewNet Communication Technologies, a Skyview Capital portfolio company, announced plans to acquire the WiMAX business from Nokia Siemens Networks, including the full product portfolio, related employees and assets, and active customer and supplier contracts. Approximately 300 Nokia Siemens Networks employees (many in suburban Chicago, USA and Hangzhou, China) are expected to transfer; the deal was expected to close before December 31, 2011 and terms were not disclosed.

Nokia Acquires Fenix Group

Nokia has acquired North American tactical communications specialist Fenix Group from Enlightenment Capital to strengthen its defense and private wireless offerings. Fenix — maker of the Banshee and Talon tactical 3GPP products — will help Nokia expand capabilities for mission-critical, low-latency military communications and accelerate its U.S. defense strategy.

Marvell Technology Acquires Inphi Corporation

Marvell Technology Group Ltd. agreed to acquire Inphi Corporation in a cash-and-stock transaction that will combine Marvell's storage, networking and processor portfolio with Inphi's high-speed electro-optics interconnect platform. The deal positions the combined company to lead in cloud data center and 5G infrastructure markets, will domicile the combined company in the United States, and is expected to deliver $125 million of annual run-rate synergies within 18 months.

Euronet Worldwide Acquires Infinitium Holdings (Singapore)

Euronet Worldwide acquired Infinitium Holdings Pte. Ltd., a Singapore-based digital payments and risk-management company, and will integrate Infinitium’s payment authentication (including 3DS) and gateway capabilities into its Ren payments platform. Infinitium’s senior management will remain with the business and the company brings approximately 200 software developers and architects and an established customer base across Southeast Asia.
