CarUX (Innolux) Acquires Pioneer Corporation from EQT for USD 1.1 billion

EQT agreed to sell Pioneer Corporation, a Japanese leader in in‑car sound, navigation and automotive multimedia systems, to CarUX (a smart‑cockpit subsidiary of Innolux Corporation) for USD 1.1 billion. The deal, expected to close in Q4 2025, pairs Pioneer's hardware, manufacturing and growing software capabilities with CarUX/Innolux's smart‑cockpit and panel expertise to drive product and geographic expansion.

The deal, completed July 2, 2024, makes Inrad a privately held, U.S.-controlled business and is intended to expand Luxium's optics and photonics manufacturing capabilities and capacity.
