Repipe Specialists (Gryphon Investors-backed) Acquires A-1 Total Service Plumbing

Repipe Specialists, backed by Gryphon Investors, acquired A-1 Total Service Plumbing, a Los Angeles-based provider of residential, commercial, municipal and industrial plumbing and pipe lining services. The A-1 management team will remain in place and founder Raymond Gray retains a significant ownership stake; the deal is Repipe's first add-on since its 2022 acquisition by Gryphon and is intended to expand Repipe's plumbing, lining and pipe rehabilitation capabilities nationwide.

SageWater Acquires AMA Repiping

SageWater, a portfolio company backed by Boyne Capital and Grindstone Partners, has acquired AMA Repiping, LLC, a Phoenix-based provider of repipe and plumbing services for the multifamily residential market. The add-on expands SageWater’s geographic footprint into the Southwestern U.S. and will integrate AMA as SageWater’s Southwest Division, enabling broader service offerings including SageWater’s PipeTEST forensic solutions and design-build capabilities.

Gryphon Investors Makes Majority Investment in PestRoutes

Gryphon Investors has made a majority investment in PestRoutes, a McKinney, Texas–based provider of field service management software for pest control, lawn care and pool servicing companies. Existing financial sponsor Mainsail Partners and co-founder Jared Green will retain minority stakes; the current management team led by CEO Patrick McKittrick will remain in place and Gryphon will join the board. Terms were not disclosed.

The Vortex Companies Acquires Trenchless Pipe Repairs LLC

Sterling Infrastructure Acquires Professional Plumbers Group

Sterling Infrastructure, Inc. (Nasdaq: STRL) acquired Professional Plumbers Group, Incorporated (PPG), a Wylie, Texas-based plumbing contractor serving residential home builders in the Dallas area, for $50 million in cash plus an earnout. PPG, which generates approximately $50–55 million in annual revenue, will join Sterling's Building Solutions segment to expand its residential plumbing capabilities and cross-sell to its existing builder customers in the Dallas market.

Boyne Capital and Grindstone Partners Recapitalize SageWater

An affiliate of Boyne Capital, alongside Grindstone Partners and company management, partnered to recapitalize SageWater, a Alexandria, Virginia–based provider of plumbing infrastructure replacement and repiping services for multi-family residential and condominium buildings. The investment will support SageWater's growth, broaden its service capabilities, and expand its geographic footprint; the company has repiped over 100,000 occupied multi-family units and replaced more than 35 million feet of pipe since 1988.
