Ara Partners Acquires Genera Energy Inc.

Ara Partners, a private equity firm focused on industrial decarbonization, has acquired Genera Energy Inc., a U.S.-based manufacturer of non-wood agricultural pulp and molded fiber packaging. Ara committed up to an additional $200 million to expand Genera's manufacturing footprint and capacity in the U.S.; Genera's previous owners (WindSail Capital Group, Coppermine Capital and Stairway Capital) will retain minority stakes.

Genera Energy Inc. Acquires MxG Fiber LLC

Genera Energy Inc. has acquired MxG Fiber LLC to incorporate MxG's Miscanthus crop expertise, R&D and molded-fiber product lines into Genera's sustainable packaging platform. The deal brings MxG's manufacturing know-how and facilities into Genera's vertically integrated operations and adds MxG CEO Matt Griswold to Genera's leadership team as Vice President for molded fiber product and market development.

Groupe SEB Acquires Zummo

Groupe SEB has acquired Zummo, the Valencia-based maker of automatic fruit and vegetable juice extraction machines, expanding its professional catering offering. Zummo, founded in 1992 and employing about 130 people, was previously majority-owned by Meridia Private Equity I with a minority stake held by founder Rafael Olmos.

B2B Industrial Packaging (GenNx360) Acquires Fibers of Kalamazoo

GenNx360 Capital Partners' portfolio company B2B Industrial Packaging has acquired Fibers of Kalamazoo, a Michigan-based supplier of packaging equipment, supplies and tool repair services. The deal is B2B's second add-on since GenNx360's investment in October 2020 and is intended to expand the platform's regional footprint and service capabilities in industrial packaging.

Genezen Acquires uniQure's Commercial Gene Therapy Manufacturing Operations in Lexington, MA

Genezen has acquired uniQure's commercial gene therapy manufacturing operations and licensed viral-vector facility in Lexington, Massachusetts. The deal (funded in part by growth equity from Ampersand Capital Partners) transfers a commercially licensed AAV-capable manufacturing site and team to Genezen and includes strategic supply agreements to support uniQure's clinical portfolio and CSL Behring's commercial HEMGENIX product.

Vonco Products Acquires Genesis Plastics Welding
