Cairngorm Capital Acquires Fairalls (Builders' Merchants)

Cairngorm Capital Partners has acquired Fairalls (Builders' Merchants) Limited, adding it to its existing building merchant businesses Parkers Building Supplies and Stamco to create the largest independent builders' merchant group in the South East of England. The enlarged group operates 24 branches with over 500 employees and combined revenues of approximately £120 million; Fairalls itself reported c.£15m revenue and about 85 employees and will continue to trade under the Fairalls brand with Richard Fairall remaining involved during the transition.

Rubicon Partners Acquires O&S Doors Limited

Rubicon Partners has acquired 100% of the share capital of O&S Doors Limited (OS Doors) from an affiliate of Sun European Partners. OS Doors, headquartered in Dungannon, Northern Ireland, is a UK & Ireland leader in kitchen, bedroom and bathroom frontal doors and employs around 350 people; Rubicon will work with existing management to further develop the business.

National Timber Group, a portfolio company of Cairngorm Capital Partners, has acquired Orchard Timber Products Limited, a specialist timber and solid wood flooring distributor headquartered in Forfar, Scotland. The deal expands NTG's footprint in Scotland and adds complementary solid wood flooring capability and stockholding to the Group's product offering; Orchard Timber's owners (Scott McKinlay, Kevin Golder and Stuart Fraser) will remain working in the business.
