Hickory Furniture Collective Acquires Old Hickory Furniture Company

Hickory Furniture Collective has acquired Old Hickory Furniture Company of Shelbyville, Indiana, bringing the historic brand into its family of American-made hickory furniture businesses. The Morrison family sold the business but Old Hickory's president, Bob Morrison, will remain in his role as the company is integrated to expand the buyer's retail and contract market presence while preserving manufacturing in Indiana.

Landscape Forms Acquires Loll Designs

Landscape Forms, a Kalamazoo-based designer and manufacturer of high-design outdoor site furniture and lighting, has agreed to acquire Duluth-based Loll Designs, a designer and manufacturer of sustainable outdoor furniture made from recycled HDPE. The deal (expected to close by December 31, 2020) brings Loll’s design-forward product portfolio, direct-to-consumer ecommerce and more than eighty employees into Landscape Forms; Loll CEO Greg Benson will continue as President and Creative Director and join Landscape Forms' executive leadership team.

Golling Automotive Group Acquires Mark Chevrolet (Wayne, MI)

Golling Automotive Group, led by Bill Golling, has acquired Mark Chevrolet in Wayne, Michigan from owner Charles Cabana. Performance Brokerage Services advised on the transaction; the store will be renamed Golling Chevrolet as Golling expands its footprint in the Detroit market.

Bergs Timber Acquires Hedlunda Holding AB

Bergs Timber AB has acquired all shares in Hedlunda Holding AB, a manufacturer of wooden furniture and components with production sites in Lycksele, Sweden and Skoczów, Poland. The acquisition (purchase price ~SEK 140 million for the shares; total purchase price SEK 225 million on a cash- and debt-free basis) expands Bergs's wood-processing capabilities and creates a new Furniture & Components product area; Hedlunda reported ~SEK 620 million in trailing twelve-month sales and employs about 400 people.

Christy Sports Acquires Leisure Living, Inc.

Christy Sports LLC acquired Leisure Living, Inc., a Salt Lake City–based specialty outdoor furniture retailer, in a deal that closed on March 11, 2019. The acquisition expands Christy Sports’ summer/outdoor furniture business and strengthens its commercial presence in Utah; financial terms were not disclosed.

Summit Equity Group and Midwest Growth Partners, with co-investor Northcreek Mezzanine and Livingston management, acquired Livingston Machinery Company by purchasing stock held in the company’s ESOP and capitalized Ag Solutions Group Holding Company, LLC to combine Livingston with Ag Solutions Group. The move creates a scaled agricultural equipment dealer platform serving multiple Midwest and Southern states and provides capital for growth, M&A and management succession.
