Blackstone Infrastructure Acquires 22% Minority Stake in AGS Airports

Blackstone's infrastructure strategy for individual investors agreed to acquire a 22% minority stake in AGS Airports from AviAlliance for £235 million to support continued growth of UK travel and tourism. AviAlliance remains the majority shareholder with a 78% stake; the investment is intended to fund capital improvements and traffic growth across AGS's three UK airports (Glasgow, Aberdeen and Southampton).

Alliance Ground International (AGI) has acquired Airport Terminal Services (ATS), adding 49 locations across the United States and Canada and marking AGI's first entry into passenger/terminal operations. ATS, founded in 1975 and based in St. Louis, Missouri, has more than 5,500 employees and provides full-range ground handling, cargo handling, refuelling, de-icing and lounge/concierge services.

Macquarie Asset Management Acquires Stakes in Bristol and Birmingham Airports

Macquarie Asset Management (through Macquarie European Infrastructure Fund 7), with co-investor LGPS Central Limited (on behalf of West Midlands and Cheshire Pension Funds), has reached financial close to acquire a 55% stake in Bristol Airport and a 26.5% stake in Birmingham Airport. The stakes were purchased from Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan as part of Macquarie's broader UK airports portfolio expansion.

Alliance Ground International Acquires Total Airport Services

Alliance Ground International (AGI), a Miami-based ground handling operator backed by Audax Private Equity and Greenbriar Equity Group, has agreed to acquire Total Airport Services (TAS), a Spring, Texas-based passenger and cargo handling specialist. The add-on deal (from seller Grupo CCR) expands AGI's passenger-handling footprint across eight U.S. airports and complements its existing cargo capabilities; the transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals.

Macquarie AirFinance Acquires $2.2B Aircraft Portfolio from ALAFCO

Macquarie AirFinance, with backing and equity from Macquarie Asset Management, PGGM Infrastructure Fund and Australian Retirement Trust (ART), will acquire a $US2.2 billion aircraft portfolio from ALAFCO Aviation Lease and Finance Company K.S.C.P. The deal — supported by a $US1.65 billion acquisition facility underwritten by BNP Paribas, Citibank, MUFG Bank and Natixis — will expand and modernize Macquarie AirFinance's fleet and improve its emissions profile; ALAFCO shareholders approved the transaction and completion was expected in 2023.

PAI Partners and ADIA Acquire Majority Stake in Alvest

Ardian retains a minority stake alongside the company's founders and management; the investment will support Alvest's expansion, accelerate the transition to electric GSE and grow its product and service offering worldwide.
