Meridian Capital Group and Barings Form JV to Acquire Barings Multifamily Capital

Meridian Capital Group and Barings have formed a joint venture to acquire the assets and liabilities of Barings Multifamily Capital (BMC) and create a standalone agency lending platform led by David Brickman. Meridian will hold majority control of the new platform, and Stone Point Capital has entered a strategic partnership with Meridian to support the firm's growth; the deal is subject to regulatory approvals.
