TotalEnergies has closed three international renewables acquisitions, buying European wind and solar developer VSB Group, hydropower developer SN Power and the Big Sky Solar project in Alberta. The deals expand TotalEnergies' integrated electricity portfolio across Germany, Africa and Canada, adding operating capacity and a large development pipeline to its renewables business.

Aspen Power Acquires 20-Project Community Solar Portfolio in Illinois

Aspen Power Acquires 14.1 MWdc Illinois Community Solar Portfolio from Arrow Solar Development

Aspen Power has closed a Membership Interest Purchase and Development Services Agreement (MIPDSA) to acquire a 14.1 MWdc portfolio of early‑stage community solar sites in Illinois from Arrow Solar Development LLC. Aspen Power will develop, construct, own and operate the projects—bringing its Illinois portfolio to over 34 MW—and use its financing and development capabilities to advance the sites to long‑term operation.

Ecopetrol Acquires Statkraft’s Enerfín Colombia Solar Portfolio

Ecopetrol S.A. closed its acquisition from Statkraft on November 13, 2025 of one developer/operator company and six special-purpose entities owning ~0.6 GW of solar projects in Colombia for USD 157.5 million. The deal (part of a broader asset purchase agreement to acquire up to ten companies) furthers Ecopetrol’s energy transition strategy and will supply low-emission generation for the Group’s self-consumption while integration into Ecopetrol begins.

Madison Energy Infrastructure Acquires NextEra Energy Resources' Distributed Generation Platform

Madison Energy Infrastructure completed the acquisition of NextEra Energy Resources' distributed generation development platform, including operating solar and energy storage assets, a development pipeline and customers across 25 states. The deal brings Madison's ecosystem to nearly 1 GW of operating clean energy infrastructure and expands its commercial and community customer footprint while leveraging recent financing and support from EQT and other capital partners.
