ID Logistics Acquires GVT Transport & Logistics (Benelux)

ID Logistics has completed the acquisition of 100% of GVT Transport & Logistics, the transport and logistics division of GVT Group of Logistics, strengthening its Benelux footprint. GVT operates 12 sites (headquartered in Tilburg, Netherlands), employs more than 750 people, rents ~200,000 m² of warehouses and runs a fleet of 285 trucks, serving mainly international electronics and non-food retail customers.

AIT Worldwide Logistics has acquired Global Transport Solutions Group (GTS), a Netherlands-headquartered specialist in time-critical marine spare parts logistics. The deal brings GTS’ more than 600 teammates across 16 locations and nine consolidation hubs into AIT’s global network, adding marine spare-parts capabilities, warehouse capacity and new geographic presence in Greece, Japan and the Nordics; terms were not disclosed.

Canada Cartage Corporation has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire The GTI Group, a Montreal-based logistics provider offering brokerage, freight management, forwarding, drayage, intermodal, warehousing and specialized heavy/oversize trucking. The deal expands Canada Cartage’s service capabilities and marks its first entry into the U.S. market, with GTI’s U.S. offices in Houston, Des Moines and Franklin, Tennessee; the combined company is expected to generate over C$1 billion in annual revenue.

Kane, a Scranton-based 3PL with $235 million of 2021 revenue and 20 U.S. hubs, will expand ID Logistics' U.S. footprint (pro‑forma US revenues $350 million) and the transaction was announced/closed in early 2022 (enterprise value reported at $240 million, all-cash).
