Equistone Partners Europe Acquires Franke Water Systems (KWC & WSC) from Franke Group

Funds advised by Equistone Partners Europe have agreed to acquire Franke Water Systems, the kitchen and bathroom fittings division of Franke Group, in a carve-out transaction. Industry executive Thorsten Klapproth is joining as a co-investor; the division (comprising KWC Group and WS Commercial Group) employs ~900 people and generated over CHF 192m in 2020. Financial terms are undisclosed and the deal remains subject to competition approval; management will continue to run the business and the investment will support international expansion and product development.

New Water Capital Acquires Klosterman Baking Company

An affiliate of New Water Capital Partners II L.P. has acquired Klosterman Baking Company, a long-standing producer of fresh and frozen baked goods serving grocers, restaurants and institutional customers. New Water said it will partner with management to expand Klosterman's product portfolio and geographic distribution footprint through organic and inorganic growth initiatives.

Westbridge Capital Acquires Berg Industrial Service, Inc.

Westbridge Capital Ltd. has completed the acquisition of Berg Industrial Service, Inc., a 50-year-old, second-generation family business headquartered in Ontario that designs, installs and services industrial chilling systems and operates an associated engineering and fabrication business. The transaction includes a 10% equity participation by the Westbridge Capital Partners Income Trust. Management continuity was announced with Mark Edwards continuing as CEO, Rebecca Carothers joining as COO, and Michael Turner joining the board.

Valesco Industries Acquires North American Kitchen Solutions (Hoodmart) from Weinberg Capital Group

Valesco Industries, a Dallas-based private equity firm, acquired North American Kitchen Solutions, Inc. (dba Hoodmart), a factory-direct manufacturer of commercial kitchen ventilation and fire suppression systems headquartered in Elyria, Ohio. The transaction represents Weinberg Capital Group's exit after owning Hoodmart since 2016, during which the company nearly tripled sales and was positioned for continued growth under new PE ownership.

Breck Partners Acquires Essential Cabinetry Group from Gridiron Capital

Breck Partners, together with Essential Cabinetry Group management, has acquired Essential Cabinetry Group, a Simpsonville, South Carolina-based manufacturer of custom, semi-custom and stock-plus kitchen and bath cabinetry. The transaction was a sale by Gridiron Capital and brings ECG — which sells through a dealer network of more than 650 dealers and operates the Tedd Wood, Executive Cabinetry and Designers Choice brands — under Breck's ownership to support strategic and operational transformation.

Ferguson Enterprises Acquires The Kitchen Showcase

Ferguson Enterprises has acquired The Kitchen Showcase, Inc. (TKSI), a Denver-area kitchen and bath design center founded in 1984 and headquartered in Centennial, Colorado. SLATE Partners advised the Pfaff family shareholders on the sale, which will give TKSI access to Ferguson's distribution scale and resources to support continued growth and expanded customer offerings.
