The acquisition and a concurrent capital raise (with a cornerstone institutional investor and a strategic investor) aim to accelerate product development, sales and global expansion.

WorkWave Acquires Slingshot

Westbridge Capital Ltd. Acquires sliBuy Inc.

Westbridge Capital Ltd. has completed the acquisition of sliBuy Inc., a Shorewood, Illinois-based no-reserve online auction marketplace that purchases and resells store-level inventory from major US retailers. Founder Michael Ringelsten will remain as a shareholder and director, and Steve Fitzgerald has been appointed CEO; Westbridge says it will provide financial and operational support to accelerate growth and diversify its portfolio.

Lightspeed Commerce Acquires Ecwid

Lightspeed Commerce Inc. completed the acquisition of Ecwid, a global eCommerce platform, for approximately $163.6 million in cash (net of cash acquired) plus the issuance of 4,842,674 subordinate voting shares and additional contingent consideration. The deal will integrate Ecwid's SaaS storefront and social-commerce capabilities into Lightspeed's commerce platform to expand omnichannel selling options for merchants.

TrueCommerce Acquires ecUtopia

The acquisition expands TrueCommerce’s product portfolio and vertical depth—particularly in home furnishings and apparel—by adding ecUtopia’s cloud-based visibility and collaboration capabilities.

Marlin Portfolio Company Linnworks Acquires SkuVault

Marlin Equity Partners has acquired U.S.-based inventory, order and warehouse management software provider SkuVault and will merge it with Linnworks, an existing Marlin portfolio company. The deal strengthens Linnworks' global e-commerce enablement platform by expanding its IMS/OMS/WMS capabilities and North American presence.
