Atlas stockholders received $12.25 per share, Atlas common stock will be delisted, and the take-private is intended to accelerate growth under GI Partners’ ownership; Bernhard Capital Partners was the company’s leading investor prior to the sale.

DFW Capital Partners Acquires Vertex Group

DFW Capital Partners has completed the acquisition of Vertex Group, a provider of customer information system (CIS) software and BPaaS integration services for mid-market water, electric and gas utilities, from Oak Hill Capital and GenNx360 Capital Partners. The deal gives Vertex management capital and runway to expand adoption of its VertexOne platform, and was financed with senior debt from Capital Southwest Corporation and East West Bank.

Falfurrias Capital Partners Acquires Ballast Research from National Journal

Ballast Research — a Washington, D.C.-based policy research and government affairs consulting firm — will continue to be led by Mike Gottlieb with David Bradley remaining as a key investor; Falfurrias aims to accelerate Ballast's growth and expand its geographic and capability footprint.

Atlas Technical Consultants Acquires Alta Vista Solutions

Atlas Technical Consultants, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATCX) has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Alta Vista Solutions, Inc., a transportation-focused provider of construction engineering, materials testing and inspection services headquartered in Oakland, California. Alta Vista operates approximately 100 employees across four offices in California and one office in New York City; the transaction, with terms undisclosed, was expected to close in the third quarter of 2020. The deal expands Atlas' ability to self-perform testing and inspection work and strengthens its presence in California and New York transportation markets.

Everest Clinical Research (Arlington) Acquires August Research

The deal expands Everest's European footprint and clinical trial (CTS) and pharmacovigilance (PV) capabilities across 14 countries; August's founders will remain with the business.
