AdventHealth Acquires ShorePoint Health Port Charlotte from Community Health Systems

AdventHealth has purchased ShorePoint Health Port Charlotte, a 254-bed full-service hospital in Port Charlotte, Florida, along with related physician clinic operations, outpatient services and the ShorePoint Health Emergency Department in Cape Coral. The agreement with affiliates of Community Health Systems, Inc. closed on March 1, 2025, and brings more than 1,300 team members and over 80 providers into the AdventHealth network.
