AIMCo Acquires Cando Rail & Terminals from TorQuest Partners and Employee Shareholders

Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo) has agreed to acquire 100% of Cando Rail & Terminals Ltd. from TorQuest Partners and Cando employee shareholders. Cando, headquartered in Brandon, Manitoba, operates a network of 40+ industrial railyards, nine owned terminals and one short-line railroad with 900+ employees and 100+ locomotives; the transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals and financial terms were not disclosed.
