Alera Group, a national insurance and financial services firm based in Deerfield, Illinois, has acquired Florida-based CLS Healthcare Liability Specialists, an independent agency specializing in medical malpractice and healthcare liability insurance. The CLS team will remain in their roles as Alera expands its Healthcare Liability capabilities to better serve physicians, locum tenens and nurse staffing firms, and other healthcare organizations; terms were not disclosed.
