Aon to Acquire Mitsubishi Chemical Group In-House Insurance Agency Business in Japan

Aon plc has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the in-house insurance agency business of Mitsubishi Chemical Group (MCG) in Japan. The business, which operates as part of Dia Rix, provides corporate and personal lines insurance to MCG group companies and employees. The transaction is expected to close in early 2025, after which the team will transition to Aon’s brand and operating model.

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. Acquires AssuredPartners

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. (Gallagher) signed a definitive agreement to acquire AssuredPartners, with the transaction expected to close in the first quarter of 2025. The deal value is about $13.45 billion gross (about $12.45 billion net after an estimated $1.0 billion deferred tax asset), and Gallagher expects ~$160 million in synergies and ~$500 million of integration costs. Gallagher subsequently closed the acquisition in August 2025.

Accenture Acquires ON Service GROUP

The deal (terms undisclosed) expands Accenture Operations' insurance capabilities in Germany across sales and broker support, policy administration, customer support and process transformation.
