Applied Underwriters to Acquire Alaska Timber Insurance Exchange (ATIE)

Applied Underwriters announced it expects to complete the acquisition of Alaska Timber Insurance Exchange (ATIE) following ATIE's conversion to a stock company and receipt of regulatory approvals. The Ketchikan, Alaska–domiciled reciprocal, which writes non-assessable workers' compensation policies and holds an AM Best A- rating, will be purchased as part of a transaction that references North American Casualty Company as the acquiring entity for ATIE.
