KODA Distribution Group Acquires Marcor Development Corp.

KODA Distribution Group (KDG), a Stamford, Connecticut-based specialty chemical distributor, has acquired Marcor Development Corp., a Carlstadt, New Jersey distributor of specialty chemicals and naturally derived ingredients for nutraceutical, pharmaceutical and related markets. Marcor will continue to operate from its Carlstadt headquarters with existing management and staff as KDG builds a new pharma / bionutrients business segment.

Kingswood Capital Management has acquired Corbion’s emulsifiers business (formerly Caravan Emulsifiers) for approximately $326 million; the business will operate as PATCO Products, LLC and remain headquartered in Lenexa, Kansas. The carve-out includes two U.S. manufacturing plants (about 175 employees) and provides emulsifiers for food, personal care, polymer additives, pet food and pharmaceutical markets; Corbion said the divestment lets it focus on fermentation-based technologies.

Integro will join KDG’s Kaman Automation business unit, expanding KDG’s machine vision, robotics and turnkey inspection capabilities across industries such as pharmaceutical, medical, automotive and aerospace; KDG is a portfolio company of Littlejohn & Co., LLC.

Motion Industries (Genuine Parts Company) Acquires Kaman Distribution Group for $1.3B

Motion Industries, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Genuine Parts Company, agreed to acquire Kaman Distribution Group from Littlejohn & Co. for approximately $1.3 billion in cash. KDG, headquartered in Bloomfield, Connecticut, operates ~220 locations with ~1,700 employees and is expected to generate roughly $1.1 billion of revenue in 2022; the deal is expected to close in Q1 2022 and deliver $50M+ of run-rate synergies.
