Lincoln Electric Acquires Vanair Manufacturing

Lincoln Electric Holdings, Inc. has acquired Vanair Manufacturing, LLC, a Michigan City, Indiana-based maker of vehicle-mounted mobile power solutions including compressors, generators, welders, hydraulics and chargers. The deal (Vanair ~ $100M revenue) expands Lincoln Electric's product and channel capabilities into the service-truck market and will be reported in its Americas Welding segment.

Lincoln Electric Acquires Fori Automation, LLC

Lindab Acquires Vicon, US Manufacturer of Ventilation Duct Machinery

Sweden-based Lindab has signed an agreement to acquire Vicon, a US manufacturer of machines for rectangular ventilation ducts, boosting Lindab's US sales more than threefold and doubling its global duct-machinery sales. Vicon (headquartered in Bohemia, New York, with production in Pevely, Missouri and Meadville, Pennsylvania) has approximately SEK 260 million in annual sales and 64 employees; the acquisition is to be financed with Lindab's own funds and is expected to close in Q1 2024.

Sysnet Global Solutions Acquires Viking Cloud

Sysnet Global Solutions has acquired Viking Cloud to enhance its cloud security platform, broaden its compliance and threat-detection capabilities, and accelerate enterprise market expansion. The deal combines Viking Cloud's next-generation asset, event and compliance management technology with Sysnet's payment security and compliance services; Viking Cloud CEO Robert McCullen will become Executive Chairman of Sysnet.

Scania Acquires Northvolt Systems Industrial Division

Scania has agreed with the trustee to acquire the Industrial Division of Northvolt Systems, including production capabilities in Gdańsk and an R&D centre in Tomteboda, Stockholm, and a team of approximately 260 employees. The acquisition integrates battery system manufacturing and R&D into Scania Power Solutions to strengthen the company's electrification offering for off‑road and heavy industry applications; the purchase price was not disclosed.

Lincoln Electric Acquires Remaining Interest in Alloy Steel

Lincoln Electric Holdings, Inc. acquired the remaining 65% interest in Alloy Steel Australia (Int) Pty Ltd, bringing Alloy Steel into full ownership. Alloy Steel, a Perth-based manufacturer of proprietary wear plate solutions, engineering services and digital monitoring for the mining sector (primarily Asia Pacific), generates approximately USD 50 million in annual revenue and will be reported in Lincoln Electric’s International Welding segment.
