Astronics Corporation Acquires Envoy Aerospace

Astronics Corporation has acquired Envoy Aerospace for approximately $8 million, adding Envoy's FAA Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) capabilities and a team of nine employees. The acquisition strengthens Astronics' certification and modification capabilities—streamlining FAA STC and PMA approvals to support its aircraft connectivity, in-seat power, and cabin modification offerings.

Barnes Group Inc. Acquires MB Aerospace

Barnes Group Inc. agreed to acquire MB Aerospace for an enterprise value of approximately $740 million, expanding Barnes' aerospace manufacturing and MRO capabilities. MB Aerospace, headquartered in Motherwell, Scotland, operates ~10 facilities with ~1,450 employees and is projected to generate about $330 million of revenue and $65 million of EBITDA in 2023; the transaction (expected Q4 2023) was intended to strengthen Barnes' OEM and aftermarket offerings and add defense exposure.

Bain Capital Acquires Aerospace Technologies Group (ATG); Joins with Jamco to Expand Cabin Interiors Platform

Bain Capital has acquired Aerospace Technologies Group (ATG), a Boca Raton–based developer and supplier of electronically controlled aircraft window shade systems. ATG will operate alongside Bain portfolio company Jamco under common ownership to build a global cabin interiors platform; the seller is noted as long-time owner Jacqueline Autry.

AeroVironment Acquires Arcturus UAV for $405M

AeroVironment, Inc. (NASDAQ: AVAV) will acquire Arcturus UAV, Inc., a Petaluma, California–based developer and manufacturer of Group 2 and 3 unmanned aircraft systems, for a total purchase price of $405 million (approximately $355 million cash and $50 million in AeroVironment stock). The acquisition expands AeroVironment's product portfolio into higher-value Group 2 and 3 UAS segments, adds Arcturus’s ~270 employees and COCO services capability, and is expected to be accretive to adjusted EBITDA and GAAP EPS in fiscal 2022.

Carver Aero Acquires LumanAir Aviation Services and ATS Illinois

Textron eAviation Acquires Amazilia Aerospace

Textron's eAviation division has acquired substantially all the assets of Amazilia Aerospace, a Munich-based engineering firm that develops digital flight controls and vehicle management systems. The approximately 30-person Amazilia team will continue supporting Pipistrel programs including the Surveyor and Nuuva V300 as Textron expands its electric aviation and cargo UAV capabilities.
