Barnes Group Inc. Acquires MB Aerospace

Barnes Group Inc. agreed to acquire MB Aerospace for an enterprise value of approximately $740 million, expanding Barnes' aerospace manufacturing and MRO capabilities. MB Aerospace, headquartered in Motherwell, Scotland, operates ~10 facilities with ~1,450 employees and is projected to generate about $330 million of revenue and $65 million of EBITDA in 2023; the transaction (expected Q4 2023) was intended to strengthen Barnes' OEM and aftermarket offerings and add defense exposure.

Astronics Corporation (Nasdaq: ATRO) has acquired Bühler Motor Aviation (BMA) from Bühler Motor Group in an all-cash transaction. BMA, based in Uhldingen-Mühlhofen, Germany, manufactures aircraft seat actuation systems and is expected to generate about $22 million in revenue in 2026; Astronics says the acquisition augments its motion control solutions and complements its PGA subsidiary.

Bridger Aerospace Acquires FMS Aerospace

Bridger Aerospace Group Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: BAER) has acquired FMS Aerospace, a Huntsville-based provider of airframe modification, integration, flight test and airworthiness certification services. The equity-only transaction has a total value of $20.6 million (including $17.51 million issued at close and up to $3.09 million contingent earn-out); FMS reported $10.3 million of revenue and $2.5 million of net income for the year ended December 31, 2023. Bridger said the deal brings engineering, modification and manufacturing capabilities in-house to support mission-critical air services, defense systems engineering and its Multi-Mission Aircraft program.

Greenbriar Equity Group Acquires Sunvair Aerospace Group from Blue Sea Capital

Funds managed by Greenbriar Equity Group completed the acquisition of Sunvair Aerospace Group, a U.S.-based aircraft component MRO specialist, from Blue Sea Capital. Greenbriar said the investment will support Sunvair's organic growth and acquisition strategy to expand its engineered MRO capabilities across landing gear, avionics and accessory repairs.
