BAE Systems Acquires Malloy Aeronautics

BAE Systems has acquired Malloy Aeronautics, a UK-based developer and manufacturer of all-electric heavy-lift uncrewed aerial systems (UAS). Malloy's ~80-strong team will remain in Berkshire and join BAE's FalconWorks R&D unit to accelerate development and deployment of heavy-lift drone technologies for military, security and civilian customers.

Barnes Group Inc. agreed to acquire MB Aerospace for an enterprise value of approximately $740 million, expanding Barnes' aerospace manufacturing and MRO capabilities. MB Aerospace, headquartered in Motherwell, Scotland, operates ~10 facilities with ~1,450 employees and is projected to generate about $330 million of revenue and $65 million of EBITDA in 2023; the transaction (expected Q4 2023) was intended to strengthen Barnes' OEM and aftermarket offerings and add defense exposure.
